BRAILLE In Braille different languages use different abbreviations and accented characters. Braillepro can produce Braille in many different languages including Grade one and Grade two English, Grade one and two French, Spanish, German and Italian. If your preferred language is not listed please ask. Table of Contents, Tables, Charts etc. can all be incorporated into a Braille document. All Braille is produced on A4 recycled paper, double-sided and in Interpoint Braille unless otherwise specified by the customer. All documents of more than one sheet will be bound with a front cover showing the document title in print and Braille, unless otherwise specified. For the embossing of labels which are to be retained for long periods of time, for overlays to menus, etc., self-adhesive, transparent plastic is used. Multiple copies can be provided. Our prices for Braille transcription are as follows: Typescript which has to be scanned, edited and embossed - £3.50 per sheet. Hand-written material which has to be keyed into the PC and embossed - £4.50 per sheet. From e-mail attachment, disc, or CD ROM - £0.50 per sheet of Braille paper used. For Braille produced on acetates of varying thickness. Please ask for a free estimate. As a rough guide, one A4 of 12 point type will occupy two double-sided A4 sheets of Braille. If documents are badly typed and need considerable editing, then a charge of £22.50 per hour for time spent editing plus £0.50 per sheet of Braille paper used will be made. There is a minimum charge of £15.00 for one-off small orders. |
